The Gibraltar GLRHH-SB Compact Telescoping Hi-Hat Stand has a revolutionary design that is infinitely adjustable and compacts down in one piece for easy transport. Because the pull rod adjusts independently from the stand you can set up a very low hi-hat and the pull rod can lower to match the setting. When its time to pack up for the gig, telescope the pull rod and stand down in one piece and it easily fits in a small hardware bag. This lightweight single braced stand is perfect for gigging musicians.

Great idea! Works well with a few "tweaks". One thing I did was install a set screw to keep the nylon bushing in line, which in turn keeps the channel for the rod adjustment in line........it was rubbing when tightened down. This stand won't like a heavy foot. If you don't mind tinkering with it a bit, it's OK. Otherwise, lightweight, smooth(after tweak), sufficient spring and packs up VERY nicely. I'm using it on my practice kit at the moment to see if the adjustments slip after some abuse.....so-far, so-good.
