Not essential, but convenient

Comments:

Its not the most needed piece of gear, but it will save you a headache from losing and dropping all those felts and wing nuts. The spring is meant to put the tensions on the cymbal from the felts but it doesnt choke the cymbal. If anything, its a little looser on the cymbal than normal. Keep in mind the top that you put through the cymbal hole is larger than normal and may not fit unusually small cymbal holes.
