Innovative Field Series FS2M Multi Stick - Product Information

The FS2M is designed with the multi-percussionist in mind. This model is constructed of heartwood hickory like all of the Field Series Marching Drumsticks. The design features a shorter taper and small reverse teardrop shaped bead for strong rebound, quick response and crisp articulation at any dynamic level. The FS2M is excellent for quick changes between snare drum, suspended cymbals, or any other percussion effects.

Longer than you'd expect

Comments:

I bought these as a quieter timbre for playing my tenors indoors, as I was using a pair of MB0H bass mallets before... I got to say, they're a lot longer than I thought they were. However, that's 100% totally on me as I could have researched their dimensions before buying, but imagine taking a full-length drumstick and then adding the felt head to the end of it, rather than the felt head being incorporated into the total length... I know it sounds crazy, but these things feel like I'm playing with the empty tubes from wrapping paper rolls, lol. On top of that, holding on to the tapered end just feels a little weird? Honestly, I'll probably go back to my MB0H, but again that is absolutely a preference thing and zero reflection on the product or Steve Weiss. My suggestion? Before you buy these consider playing with a 5B drumstick backwards, choked WAY back to see if you like the feel of holding the tapered end on a stick longer than you'd expect.

Great Stick

Comments:

Great stick. I Bashed these my first year of high school while I was on rack, and still holding up strong. My only complaint is I wish the felts were slightly softer. Still an awesome pair of swizzle sticks though!
