Great value for some nice mallets for meditation

Comments:

I am very happy with the quality of the mallets. Based on the review of another purchaser, I felt that these mallets would be a perfect match for the antique meditation bowls inverted into a chime configuration. I didn't want a harsh sound or too high a volume, given that I want them for sound bath purposes. They fit that requirement perfectly and I'm going to come back to Steve Weiss next time I need some mallets for my meditation percussion. For the price of $19.95, I somehow assumed I was getting 1 mallet -- not the pair. Great value for great sounding mallets!

Good All Around Mallets

Comments:

These are very nice mallets. I love birch mallets because they are lighter than rattan but still holds the same durability and flex. Normally, I use Mike Balter 22R mallets. They are good general mallets, but they create a dead sound on higher notes. Playing rolls with the F3.5 mallets are quick, smooth, and easy. My only con with the f3.5 is the loudness. These are pretty quiet for my taste. I play in a large band and in many ensembles. In these cases, I need mallets that will give me a loud response to the audience. If you are looking for a loud mallet, don't get these. Just get the Mike Balter 22B or 22R. In conclusion, I probably won't use the F3.5 in performance. However during practice or auditions I will always use these! Great job Innovative Percussion!
