10/10 marimba mallets

Comments:

I am a percussion student who enjoys playing lots of different styles of marimba music, though my I tend to choose pieces that have a mix of American influence and that of another region (i.e. Japan, Europe) like the styles of Keiko Abe, Chin Cheng Lin, and of course Pius Cheung. While I am admittedly not an expert when it comes to this topic, I still believe that these mallets are some of the best in the market. The warm and rich, full tone just cannot be matched. (if gourmet chocolate cake was a marimba mallet, it would be these) And yet, these mallets also have the capability to deliver articulation when the core is activated. And they are sold in a graduated set? WTF? It's like these mallets have the versatility of a "general all-around mallet", but the quality of a true artist series, all at a reasonable price. For my senior recital I used this series for Abe's "Wind in the Bamboo Grove", as well as Lin's "Pray for a Wish", and they were excellent options for both. Great quality, beautiful sound and construction, would highly recommend. 11/10!!

Just the best

Comments:

Absolutely great mallets. Really well weight and tone balance. The shafts are unfinished but really really smooth. They have held up for the entire time I've had them and after a year of heavy use they show no wear.
