Innovative Concert Series CT1 Legato Timpani Mallets - Product Information

The unique feel and balance of the Concert Series Timpani Mallets is created through the use of richly stained cherry wood handles. Each handle is hollowed out at the front and back of the shaft to create the feel and balance of bamboo mallets without the inconsistencies and durability issues normally associated with that material. The result is an exceptionally consistent and well-balanced timpani mallet. The five cartwheel models feature wood cores, woven felt liners, and the highest quality German felt covers, while the CT-6 Ultra Staccato model features are unique handle design with a hard felt ball head for increased articulation. The Concert Series Timpani Mallets unique design and craftsmanship are unlike any mallet available on the market today.

Innovative CT-1 Legato Features:
- 5/8" Cherry wood handles, in a rich dark stain
- Partially hollowed handles create the feel and balance of bamboo mallets
- Wood Cores

CT1 Timpani Mallets

Comments:

Not my ideal timp mallet but I would recommend this to a high school beginner! Get sound and really is soft for that legato tone

Excellent value!

Comments:

I'm very pleased with the CT line of mallets. They have excellent balance and, particularly for the price, great craftsmanship and materials in the covering. Having ordered the entire line of 6 pairs, I had small issues with two of the pairs. IP was very responsive and quick to send out replacements pairs, no questions or hassles. Particularly if you prefer a thicker shaft (5/8") but want to maintain an overall low weight (40-50g), all while saving some $$, these can't be beat. And for anyone interested to explore Hinger technique, I'd advise getting these sticks over the current Hinger products made by Malletech. They feel better, sound better and cost less! * one small disappointment was that the two replacement pairs were stained differently (i.e. less dark with no shine, apparently lacking a polyurethane treatment, according to the company rep.) from the originals. Some might prefer the new look but my opinion is that they lack for grip, feeling a bit more slippery in the hand.
