The Innovative Wei-Chen Lin Soft Marimba Mallets function perfectly on the bass notes on the instrument allowing you to achieve clear fundamentals and smooth rolls. The blended yarn creates an incredibly versatile mallet, capable of lush Bach chorales as well as more contemporary articulate passages. Built on birch shafts, the rubber cores provide a strong fundamental tone with very little contact sound.

Great Soft Mallets

Comments:

These mallets are decently heavy and a bit shorter than I was expecting.They display more than adequate build quality and feel great to play. The tone is very warm but not super muddy. As with any soft mallet these sound best at the low end, but these can get a decent tone up until the highest 1.5 octaves. While my set have not received heavy use they appear to be pretty durable. Great for chorals and as part of a grad set.
