Bach-Air on a G String arr. Beal-M - Product Information
Air on a G String by J. S. Bach is arranged here for five octave marimba by Andrew Beall. This piece, originally from Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, became known as Air on a G String when German violinist August Wilhelmj transposed the key down to C major and was able to play the entire piece on just the G string on his violin. This arrangement for solo marimba requires a high level of control in the right hand as it plays octave intervals and one handed rolls for the majority of the piece.
