Jackson/Lewis-Steamboat Willie arr. Monroe (SP)-B/V/C/X/2M/DS/P - Product Information
Steamboat Willie, a short film directed by Walt Disney, was released to great acclaim in 1928. The Music from Steamboat Willie features an arrangement, "Steamboat Bill," a composition made popular in the early 1900s, and "Turkey in the Straw," a well-known song from the 1800s. Xylophonist George Hamilton Green was featured on the original recording. This arrangement for percussion ensemble seeks to emulate the sounds and style of the soundtrack. You can also download a copy of the cartoon and play-a-long for a neat multi media production.
