Monkman-Parody-M - Product Information
Parody is a reflection on an event in the life of composer Jesse Monkman. While this event remains anonymous, the reactions of the composer during the event are intended to be conveyed by the musical content of the piece. The piece is divided into four sections. The first section conveys a sense of vibrancy and energy. The second section is some what more aggressive, incorporating mixed meters and syncopated accent patterns. The third section is very melancholy, with a slower tempo and a chorale section. The final section brings back the vibrancy of the first and second sections and brings about an exciting close. This is a very strong grade 4 piece that would be right at home in a jury or recital!
