Joaquin on Sunshine by Jim Casella is a festive, soulful piece for a large ensemble of 15-17 players (the extra players are preferable if the marimba parts can be doubled). The Afro-Cuban flavor makes this piece a great closer for larger percussion ensemble concerts. Joaquin on Sunshine is thickly scored with a full Latin rhythm section: piano, bass, drumset, timbales, congas, bongos, and shekere.
This piece comes with a full, bound score and includes a CD-Rom containing an audio recording and all individual parts available for printing.
