OK Percussion Duo-Let (CD)

LET by the OK Percussion Duo (Martin Oprsal & Martin Kleibl). The program of this debut CD is based on contemporary works, which has been the focus of the duo from its inception. This is related to the intensive cooperation with composers that gives the duo a chance to influence the creation of the works, making them almost "custom-tailored." This cooperation is documented on this album by a number of Czech compositions written for, and dedicated to, the ensemble. The CD also includes two pieces from the international repertoire. The first is rarely staged due to its complexity. By contrast, the second is one of the most staged worldwide, but the duo plays it in its own unique version.
