These are a great mallet for frontline ensembles. They have a very solid core, sound great on vibes as well as marimba if in a pinch, cymbals, and anything else you need. Durable rattan handles last multiple seasons and are very affordable for high school band budgets. While you could spend more for a craft mallet, you can get twice as many for the same price and probably last just as long. My opinion, but I love them for outdoor applications.
