LP King Klave (LP597) - Product Information

LP King Klave is the loudest clave available and is made of specially formulated fiberglass. This nearly indestructible construction yields an incredibly loud “cutting” sound that can be heard on recordings from around the world. LP King Klaves measure 8“ L × 1” W and have the projection and volume to cut through loud live music. They are also ideal for school use in marching bands.

I wasn't sure if this set of claves would be too loud for a church setting: It wasn't. I was able to change my grip in order to control the sound, but as it turns out, after repeated use, the sound produced from the instrument was not intrusive. Good results; pleasant sound; other musicians were not offended: Both acoustic guitars and singers.

The King of Klaves!!

I originally bought a pair of these for my classroom, and they sounded so well that I ended up buying a pair for myself. Like the description says, they are excellent at cutting through sound. Great for live rock band or marching band situations!
