The Wood used in the LP Durian wood bongos comes from a fruit tree that grows throughout the South pacific Region. Durian Wood is a stunningly grained hardwood with exceptional sound properties. Durian is also 25 percent lighter than Siam Oak which is used in a lot of percussion construction.
