The LP Twist Shakers features a unique twisting mechanism that allows you to separate the two tubes into individual shakers, or twist them back into one. You can also mix-and-match with other twist shakers to create your own unique sound.
I'm a high schooler just starting to build up my percussion collection, and these shakers are absolutely perfect. Individually, the soft one is probably my favorite because of it's texture, though I wish it had a bit more impact. However the texture of the soft one combined with the impact of the medium one using the twist-lock feature creates a really nice middle ground shaker, which I end up using the most. I find the loud one is a bit too harsh for my tastes to be used normally, but it creates really neat effects and is a good temporary substitute for a shekere if you don't have one. Overall another really solid product from LP.

Shakin' all over
Comments:
The ball room dance band that I play with does a variety of music. I'm one of 5 members, and we make music in hall about the size of a gymnasium. Playing drums, congas and bongos acoustically, I add various percussion to the mix. The soft shakers I bought first didn't project enough, and I'm don't use mics. These shakers make the cut. Just load enough, and the feature of being able to play them as a pair or spilt them for a little softer sound is perfect. As always, Steve Weiss Music got them here quickly. Well worth the nice price!

Soft Shaker
Comments:
The soft one has a super nice smooth sandy sound. Not very loud but that's why they make other versions. Super easy to separate the 2 tubes and mix them with the other models.

Nice Soft Sound
Comments:
Love the sound of this shaker. With a mic, it may be all you need. Sounds like almost sand size media inside that gives it a sweet soft sound, yet distinctive enough to separate a normal shake from an accent. Also bought a blue one which is quite a bit louder. I am still looking for something in between the two. Perhaps LP will come out with a green one next! The blue is about the same volume as my Meinl Stadium shaker, which is pretty loud. Red must be really loud.
