Great Instrument

Thanks to Steve Weiss for offering this instrument at such a great price. I couldn't resist, and I'm happy I got it. The Omega vibe is an engineering marvel that is innovative in it's design and adjustability. Solidly built yet easy to assemble and break down making it a great gigging instrument. I really like the subtle sound of the innovative vibrato, although it could be made to be more or less intense by ordering different size "wings". I also appreciate that the motor controls are on the top of the left panel. This makes for much easier access and no hanging panel that could be damaged during transport. The most adjustable features actually affect the sound of the instrument which is great. The damper pad angle and pressure is adjustable making it easy to set up to your liking. The tunable resonators are a big plus, and really does work. The bars sound very nice and in my opinion have the warmth of Musser bars and the bright ping of old Deagan bars. Another rather simple innovation with great results is the pedal strap in place of the metal pull-rod. No noise, no slippage. Malletech has done great job with their new Omega vibe.
