Malletech Uni-Bracket

After my original unibrackets on my 5.0 disintegrated / crumbled apart (which was frustrating), I FINALLY sucked it up and shelled out more money to purchase this replacement set. I carefully installed them at the end of October (they were not overtightened). When I moved my marimba in April for a performance, two of the brand new unibrackets broke apart. It is maddening that they barely lasted 6 months. Malletech has a quality issue with these. For a company that built its reputation on highly valuing quality, these are very disappointing, and and it is frustrating that they cost so much, just to disintegrate. I wish I could figure out another solution for keeping my marimba together.

I have a 4.3 Malletech rosewood marimba that I bought back in 1993/94... after nearly 30 years of use, the uni-brackets were deteriorating and needed replacing. I bought a full set of these and replaced the old ones (which mostly crumbled as I unscrewed them) fairly easily. They fit great and my marimba is once again ready to be played.
