The Meinl 14" Travel Series Rope Tuned Djembe has a synthetic shell and Head. Meinl set out to create a lightweight drum that will produce high-quality traditional tones. They were very successful. The Travel djembe will produce full bass tones, accents, slaps and harmonics. With this 14" Djembe the bass tones will be full and projected. The synthetic nature of the head and shell will make this instrument very resistant to the natural elements making it perfect for hikes, camping trips or outdoor gigs.
