Slightly different sound from the redwood model

Comments:

Not many brands make the traditional African style claves with the hollowed out body, but Meinl makes two, and they're quite large compared to other brands! I have the redwood model, bought last year, and thought I'd try the whitewood model to see if it sounds different, but I think these may just be different wood stains. Nevertheless, they sound different, but that could just be because each pair will likely sound a bit different. I am glad though, as this way we could have two people playing and have slightly different pitches for each player. I think I like the redwood model a bit better, but that could just be my eyes talking. A slightly more focused pitch.
