Comments:

This is my first time trying out synthetic skins. I bought the Meinl, because they actually had my Meinl congas (fibercraft series) in the list of compatible targets. They don't fit exactly right, but like Meinl and Remo support say, once you apply the tension, then it works. I bought it for my quinto and conga which are 11" and 11 3/4". I applied tension and left them like that for a few days and then detuned them (just out of habit). The sound was not fantastic, but they are in my basement which is cool and my other congas do not sound perfect down there. It shouldn't matter with synthetic materials. I am hoping when I re-tune them in a warmer setting that they will sound awesome. The slap is good, but not the low tomes and it is probably what Fiberskyn sounds like. Not sure. I am giving it a four, but ask me in a few months. It has not been battle-tested but really hoping they are great..
