The triangle portion may be played in the classical manner, while the chamber creates eerie resonant overtones. The general angle of the instrument will affect the specific pitch of the overtones, and this can be modulated by hand movements. The instrument may be struck or bowed on any portion of its surface.

Useless instrument

Comments:

I purchased this seeking an alternative to the waterphone for a piece I was preparing. Well... what a disappointment. The tone is bland and weak. It has very little sustain. There is a huge lack of variety too. Really only 1 sound is produced, and a not so pleasing one at that. Honestly, I can't think of much use for this cheap instrument. I would simply go and spend the extra money for a waterphone!
