Prologue & Essence by Garrett Mendelow was composed as a soundscape/theatrical transition for recitals and concerts. The first piece shows influences from the electronic music of Philippe Manoury and Karlheinz Stockhausen, while the second movement was inspired by a few 21st century theatrical pieces.
