Rouse-Mime-SD - Product Information
Mime by Christopher Rouse was composed in 1998 for Evelyn Glennie as an encore work for solo snare drum to accompany her performances of Rouse's fantasy for percussion and orchestra, Der gerettete Alberich. Mime, of course, is Alberich's brother in Wagner's Ring operas, and so this piece makes substantial use of the Nibelung motive from that tetralogy.
