Hand tuned bars and seamless arched and mitered resonators produce a rich and resonant tone. Adjustable, swiveling sustain pedal offers precise feel, and the variable speed motor is insulated for quiet operation. An adjustable damper bar and Musser distortion-free bar suspension system assure exact control.

This is one beautiful instrument. It arrived a couple of weeks ago and my percussion teacher came over and assembled it for me. She was very impressed. I was very impressed that she threw it together in such a short time. (When I asked the guy on the phone from Steve Weiss about assembly, he said, "It is not insurmountable.") My lessons begin soon and I have not done too much yet (don't want to get into any bad habits before I know better), but have fooled around on it with some piano music and it has a fabulous sound. I look forward to being the next Lionel Hampton.

It sounds and plays awesome. The Steve Weiss team were very quick to respond to questions I had about shipping. The bars I got are tuned to A=442, which is not standard for the USA, but standard for Musser. Not a problem for me, but I could see that being nice to know.

Wonderful instrument!

We decided to purchase a set of vibes for our Performing Arts venue and after consulting with various musicians, we decided on the Musser M55. Steve Weiss Music had the best price and most expedient shipping. Our unit arrived on the day promised and was easy to assemble. We first used it for our annual Gala and it was a big hit with all of the musicians. We are very pleased with the quality and sound of this instrument.
