Naranjo/Lobi-Nite Song arr. Veligdan (StS/Solo part)-Solo gyil/orch. - Product Information
Nite Song by Kakraba Lobi, arranged by Valerie Naranjo and orchestrated by Matt Veligdan is a single movement work for solo gyil and chamber orchestra. This study score includes the solo gyil part and the orchestral study score. The Gyil (pronounced JEE-lee) is one of the grandparents of the mallet keyboard family. Made from fourteen wooden slats that are suspended, on a frame, over calabash gourds, it sounds like the Western marimba, yet more earthen in character.
