Paulson-Time on the Tracks-SD/TD/Prerecorded Train Effects - Product Information
Time on the Tracks, in 3 movements, is a piece composed for snare drum, field drum and train sounds. The recorded train sounds consist of locomotives engines, whistles, horns, freight car wheels as they cross over complex track intersections such as switches and diamonds. Switches are tracks that enable trains to move in different directions and diamonds are tracks that intersect each other. Sounds are also recorded from freight car couplers as they concuss with other couplers, grade crossing bells, sounds that surround the railroad tracks and other miscellaneous sounds that occurred by chance to include the church organ and wind that begins the piece. I recorded the trains as part of a hobby called train spotting or rail fanning.
