The Pearl Philharmonic Solid Shell Snare Drums feature a one-piece steam bent shell for maximum resonance and a broad tone across all tuning spectrums. With a uniform 8mm shell thickness these beautiful instruments are drilled, hand-finished, and assembled at the Pearl Music City Custom Shop in Nashville, TN. The drums are outfitted with elegant nickel-plated tube lugs, single flange hoops, and Pearl's signature SR505 Piccolo Triad Silent Strainer. This version features a 45 degree bearing edge for a bright, cutting response.
Pearl's popular Triad Silent Strainer has undergone careful modifications, enabling the snare assemblies to sit perfectly tensioned beneath the drumhead. The strainer's adjustability remains intact, a key feature. New snare assemblies, crafted from lightweight music wire, employ a proprietary graduated tensioning system, enhancing the drum's performance quality to the signature standard expected from Pearl.
Providing a gorgeous tone, the solid ash shell emphasizes low end frequencies while maintaining strong clarity and sustain.
