The Pearl Philharmonic Solid Shell Snare Drums feature a one-piece steam bent shell for maximum resonance and a broad tone across all tuning spectrums. With a uniform 8mm shell thickness, and 6mm Solid Maple Reinforcement Rings, these beautiful instruments are drilled, hand-finished, and assembled at the Pearl Music City Custom Shop in Nashville, TN. The drums are outfitted with elegant nickel-plated tube lugs, die-cast hoops, and Pearl's signature SR505 Triad Silent Strainer. This version features a 45 degree bearing edge for a bright, cutting response.

The SR505 Triad Silent Strainer features captive adjustment touchpoints and full mechanical control of the three independently adjustable snare assemblies. Full Wrap Around Guitar Wire, Graduated Tension Yellow Cable Snares, and Stainless Steel Cables at Even Tension provide an infinitely adjustable response for the most delicate and exposed playing, to the most cutting in the concert hall. Additionally, the Quick Release Snare Mounting System maintains your individual snare adjustment settings on all three assemblies for fast and easy snare head replacement and maintenance.

Providing a gorgeous tone, the solid ash shell emphasizes low end frequencies while maintaining strong clarity and sustain.
