Pearl Travel Conga Stand - Product Information

The second generation Pearl Travel Conga Stand is designed specifically with two things in mind: rock solid stability and lightning fast set-up. What sets this apart from the original travel conga stand is that one size fits all - the same stand works with the quinto, conga, and tumba. A quick-release system allows for fast connection to the instrument.

Comments:

First of all, this stand won't fall over. It's probably the sturdiest stand I own. It makes the travel conga feel way more like a real conga on a stand. It can definitely keep up with any heavy-hitting conga player, so Pearl knocked that out of the park. I also like the locking mechanism that keeps the travel conga in place. It seems really sturdy and Pearl includes tools to make it tighter if need be. The bag is a good add to the value. It looks nice and seems like its made well. The stand can't fit in the bag in one piece(just have to separate the top from the base of the stand), but that's not a big deal considering it takes up very little space. If there is any downside to the stand at all, it's that it can't get as low as I want it to get for sitting while playing at my perfect throne height. For standing it's great, but if it could get even 4 inches shorter it would be the absolute ideal stand for me. I'm on the shorter side, so this could very well work perfectly for other players, but I have to adjust my throne if I want to sit and play. It's a mild inconvenience, but worth putting out there. The only other thing I thing this stand could be missing is an option to tilt the drum forward. Like a lot of other conga players, I play with the quinto angled forward. It would be cool to see Pearl make another stand or add on in the future that could potentially do that. All in all, it's a rock-solid stand and it undoubtedly enhances the sound and feel of the Pearl travel conga. I'm planning on buying another one.
