Percussive Carols by Kandis Taylor is a collection of 8 festive holiday arrangements for 2 or 4 mallet marimba and CD. The purpose of this collection is two-fold: 1, to creat more performance opportunities for percussionists during the holiday season, and 2, to infuse a contemporary percussive feel to traditional European Christmas carols that date back as far as the 12th century. This collection contains various styles, all of which are intended to be performed with the accompaniment CD. Use this book for holidays gigs, recitals, or something fun to help your students stay motivated to practice over the winter break. All solos are intended for 4.3 octave marimba but several may be played on bells, xylophone, or vibraphone.
