Perennial Percussion Magnetic Fleece Timpani Mufflers are length appropriate for each drum and feature notches for various muffling options. When rolled all the way out, they will mute the instrument completely so no sympathetic vibrations are heard. When used in performance, the player can vary the amount of muffling needed for adjusting correctly to the musical environment.
Use of very strong magnets with backing prevents the mufflers from folding incorrectly allowing them to stay on the rim of any brand of timpani that has a metal hoop. The strength of the magnet also allows for a quick flip using your mallet during a piece without having the muffler fall on the floor.
