Presonus PRM1 Reference Microphone - Product Information
The Presonus PRM1 Precision Reference Microphone is used to provide an accurate reproduction of a room's characteristics for use with audio-analysis tools. A ¼″ pre-polarized electret-condenser capsule with an omnidirectional polar pattern allows the microphone to measure reflections, as well as direct signals up to 132 dB SPL. This is essential in professional recording and live sound for acoustic instruments and amplifiers allowing software to analyze and recreate the truest representation of a performance. Modern Digital PA systems employ the use of reference microphones to adjust the output and maximize the sound to best fit the indoor or outdoor performance locations.
