Decent Bag

Comments:

This bag is pretty decent for what it was designed for- a hanging mallet bag. This bag has pretty wide mallet/stick pockets, and the folder zipper on the outside is great for storing a lot of music. I would suggest this bag for most front ensemble percussionists. I used this bag for concert band and used it almost daily. I had a decent amount of mallets and sticks in my bag, but nothing overwhelming. The rain cover gets in the way when trying to grab things in a half open position, and the velcro straps for the cover had almost caught the yarn of one my mallets. When the bag is hung on a keyboard, the non-removable strap just hangs infront of the bag. In under a year of use, the bag began to fall apart on the bottom and soon after the zipper broke off; thus, it became unable to use as a portable bag. The bag still makes a great hanging mallet bag, but I do not recommend it as a personnal stickbag.

Large, but has a flaw

Comments:

This mallet bag is even larger than it appears in the picture. Big enough to fit all 8 pairs of mallets, 3 pairs of drumsticks and 2 pairs of marching sticks (including marching stick bag) with room to spare. The zipper slides very easily. However, I do not like the pocket. It's huge- big enough for a computer, music folder, practice pad, etc... but very poor design. It will not zip or unzip past halfway unless the bag is fully unfolded. Additionally, it is sown in, so any item thicker than an inch will make the bag very hard to zip up. All in all, GREAT value, huge capacity, but poor pockets.
