Remo Falams XT Snare Side Marching Drumhead

I bought a new pearl championship snare drum and with that I bought new heads because the stock Mylar heads suck as we all know. I picked this one for the bottom head because of good reviews and what not, and I wanted to give Remo a try instead of just evans heads. For some reason this drumhead does not want to fit on the drum. It's the right size and goes on the bearing edge but the rim will not tighten around it and I broke a bolt off one of the little stands on the bottom because of it. Not sure if it's a fault of Remo or not.

I bought this drum head for my personal snare drum and I think this is a great bottom head to use. However, I would advise you not to crank it like I did. I tightened the head too tight and it popped, so I had to buy a second head but it was worth it.

This snare side hands down is the strongest and it does a good job with controlling overtones on the Pearl ffx/ dynasty dfz and mapex however it almost eliminates resonance from my dynasty dfx but it still sounds Good.

the falams XT is a fabulous head. way stronger than the falams II snare side, and has a better, crisper, brighter sound. i would recomend this head to anyone. sounds great, super strong, excellent snare response.
