Really like this bongo head. Nice crisp sound and feels good to the touch. I have not played it much as I recently purchased and mounted it on the macho side, still have steer hide on the hembra. I expect that it will hold up just fine and am happy with the tone.

I am not normally a fan of plastic heads on bongos and congas but recently loaned a pair of bongos to a workshop on Broadway musicals. The bongos needed to be tuned higher than I normally tune and I decided to get some plastic heads to easily get that high pitch and not have to stretch the skin heads to their extreme range. It worked out fine and has the advantage of not having to detune after playing. I keep them as spare heads for just such occasions.
