Amazing Drum Pad!!!

Comments:

If your looking for a pad that has somewhat of a relatable sound to an actual snare drum, this the drum pad for you. Got mine three days ago and I can't stop playing with it, you can do rim shots, cleaner buzz rolls on this pad compared to a rubber drum pad. If you want to get a stand for this pad I recommend getting the Liberty One Drum Practice Pad Stand right off of here, its absolutely compatible with any Remo practice pad that you can find.

Not what they used to be

Comments:

My dad has one of these that's 30 years old and it plays beautifully. I had an older one I bought used from a local shop, and it also played nice. The beauty of these pads is that they are an actual head. They replicate the change in feel from center to edge and allow you to hear everything you are doing. Anyone who has practiced buzz rolls on gum rubber knows it feels nothing like a drum. Overall, these pads offer a more accurate feel than the gum rubber pads. I recently lost my older pad and bought a new one to replace it and was severely disappointed. The counter hoop warps under any significant tension, which prevents one from tensioning the head up to the proper tension. And I mean concert tension, not marching tension. Mine currently has washers under the tension bolts to keep them from tearing through the holes and I still can't crank it up to a reasonable tension.
