Roland V-Drums Acoustic Design VAD706 Electronic Drum Set

The Roland V-Drums Acoustic Design Drum Sets offer the look and feel of acoustic drums along with control and effectiveness of electronic drums. The VAD706 features a classic 5 piece design with full depth and diameter wooden shells. All the shells and cymbals are mounted on double braced chrome stands that not only have the look of a traditional drum set but offer an easy, faster set-up and break-down over rack mounted electronic drum sets. The VAD706 looks like an acoustic drum set to the audience, but the depth and variety of sounds delivered creates mystery and keep the audience guessing.

Shell Heads and Stands

All the drums feature Roland's multi-ply tension adjustable mesh heads and advanced digital sensor technology triggering the sounds in the TD-50X Drum Module. Roland's 14″ digital snare and 18″ Ride both feature multiple sensors allowing for every stroke, ghost note, roll and swell along with rim shots, cross sticking patterns are detected and expressed with a natural feel and detail.

The wood shells add to the dynamic sound experience by giving a proper acoustic drum stick rebound that is even customizable to your playing style through the tension adjustable heads. The kick drum design allows for air to be moved inside the shell delivering the air pressure and resistance drummers are accustomed too.

The key to the dynamically diverse sounds is the TD-50X's high resolution processing. Each drum sound has been programmed with multiple layers such as shell material, head type and strike zones on the playing surface. All of this modeling is completely customizable to crate sounds and kits for the performer to quickly dial up. Roland has developed what's called Prismatic Sound Modeling. This means that every element of your playing style is captured and conveyed in detailed depth. The advanced pads used in the TD-50KV2 feature a triggering sensitivity with lifelike expression.

As a final layer of depth Roland has incorporated a full power multi effects and dynamic processing engine. From compression and EQ to reverb, delay and modulating effects like chorus and phaser all can be adjusted and saved to meet the performer's needs.

Connectivity:

All these features and amazing sound quality is paired with professional connectivity for the stage and studio. On stage both stereo and individual outputs for the snare, kick and other sounds can be feed to a board independent mixing. While in the studio built in USB audio interface offers up to 32 audio channels over a single cable. Midi is also supported through USB along with dedicated Midi I/O allowing you to sync with other devices and computer software. Three auxiliary trigger inputs allow for kit expansion like extra cymbals, a second kick drum or another tom. Bluetooth connectivity is offered allowing you to stream audio from your phone or computer. This ideal for jamming along with tunes as well as accessing the YouTube lesson kits provided by Roland. An onboard coach and metronome develops skills while the ability to record and playback your playing allows for further learning analysis.
