Sabian 22" Bacpac Cymbal Bag

First off, I've had this bag for almost 20 years and it had finally worn out and was in need of a replacement. So I order this new one expecting that it would last as long too. As soon as I opened the box I immediately noticed the decrease in craftsmanship compared to my old one. The shoulder straps are a weaker quality by far. The very first time I used it I put my cymbals in it, carried it like a back pack and the shoulder strap slipped out of the loop causing my cymbals to fall to the ground! I had to watch and re-tighten the straps every time I used it and picked it up. Also, the zippers aren't of the same strength and the stitching at the top of the bag gave out and started to fray and rip within 2 months of light use. Also, does not fit 22" size cymbals well at all. Way more suited for 20". Of course it's past the 30 day guarantee for the Online Store I purchased it from and I asked if I could return it and upgrade to a better bag with me paying the difference. They were not able to. So I deal with Sabian and have to return it to them and they will replace it with the SAME bag only. And I had to pay almost $60 ($20 less than the bag cost!) for shipping which will not be re-reimbursed. My advised is to stay away from this one and get a better bag. Unfortunately this one has gone way way down in craftsmanship and it's a shame.

Very durable and versatile. I have had one of these bags for over 10 years, packed full with a 20" ride, 20" flat top ride, 19" crash, 17" crash, 13" hi hats, and a 10" splash and a full stick bag. It has never torn, anywhere. Have bought multiples of this bag over those 10 years and will continue to do so (unless Sabian changes the materials or construction in some way) as long as my cymbal collection continues to grow.
