This is a nice set of chimes for a good price. However, I would recommend these more for use on a drum set rather than for an auxiliary percussionist, unless you don't have much more money to spend and want a set of this size. If you won't use it a lot, go for it. They still sound good.

Great chimes, easy on the wallet

I got the aluminum version of the chimes and I really love the sound. Even though it's the smaller version (24 bars) and aluminum rather than brass, they sound clear and cut through even without amplification. I'd definitely get these again.
