Creatures of the Wood is a collection of intermediate four-mallet etudes that focus on holding octaves across various techniques and applications on the marimba. There are six etudes in total, that encapsulate the spirit and feeling of some of the animals found in the land of the forest: Hare, Sparrow, Fox, Badger, Doe, and Wolf.
