A Song for Andrew Martin by Adam Vidiksis is inspired by Isaac Asimov's short story "The Bicentennial Man." The glockenspiel here depicts Andrew's (the robot) isolation in his struggle to find his place as a robot among humans.
This is a very unique work as there are only a handful of written solo material for glockenspiel (bells). This work should be played with hard plastic mallets, preferably with wood or rattan shafts.
