The Starphonic Brass from Tama uses a 1.2mm brass shell. This slightly thicker brass shell combined with the grooved hoop makes for great projection of it's warm resonant sound. The wide tuning range of the drum and adjust-ability of the Snappy snares allow this drum to function in multiple musical situations.
