I use these for my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade percussionists during everyday band class. They are a great way, and an inexpensive way, to get them to think about choices and prepare them for using the more expensive Grover ones that we use for concerts. They also sell a pack of 10 with a case that is very nice as well.

For the price, these beaters are really good. You can almost compare their sounds against the Grover Alloy 303 beaters. The beaters aren't completely straight, but isn't that big of a deal. I like the loop, because it allows me to store them on a karabiner clip in my stick bag.
