At first when I bought these I was not very happy with the stick. These are thinner than the outdoor ralph hardimons and much lighter. Because of this they much better for doing stick tricks and simply practicing at home on a pad. I don't recommend taping these sticks because will lose the overall balance and add weight to the stick. Overall a great stick for the right application.

I have an older version of this stick back when it said "Corpsmaster Indoor," and not "Ralph Hardimon Indoor, Corpsmaster," but it's probably the same, so I'll say this... The weight of the stick is just right for a younger student, but older students won't be satisfied after a while. This is a great stick for any percussionist. I will say, however, that the thinness is no indicator of the volume this stick is capable.
