these would be the best sticks ever...

Comments:

if they weren't painted. Great length and balance, round bead that gives a full sound with any approach to the drum. I just can't figure out why Vic Firth insists on painting some models of its sticks.

Some of the best sticks I've ever used

Comments:

I'm an avid percussionist, but when it comes to marching snare drumming, this is my first choice. Initially, you will think that the stick has sort of an indescribable awkward feeling to it; however, it is a feeling that you adjust to after about twenty minutes of using these sticks. I personally like the feel of these better than the Ralph Hardimons, since I find the MS5's to be thinner yet heavier; the pair that I had was slightly front heavy, which I personally like because it gives more power into your playing with less effort and you also have to give slightly more effort to achieve quality at higher stick heights. Great sound, nice and bright coming off of the drum (I've played them on Evans Hybrid S & Remo White Max heads). All in all a great stick, I'd highly recommend it to any marching snare drummer, or any percussionist looking for a great set of sticks. Cheers!

i dont like them on a snare or pad at all but i love them on quads! great quad stick, kind of feels like the scojo tenor mallet without the nylon tip.

Sounds great!

Comments:

My drumline chose these over Hardimons because they sounds fuller and more "Fill up the drum" type sound. Little did we know that these break waaaaaay too easily. I went through three pairs before we decided going to the old fashioned JW1. Good stick for shows without much rim clicks and shots.
