Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Laminates can be added to the Vic Firth Stockpad or Vic Firth Slimpad for greater articulation and better simulation of the response of a marching drum.

Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Laminates are heavy duty 14-mil Mylar discs that come with a special double-sided adhesive. Simply peel off the backing, and apply to the Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Stock or Slim Pads. Because of the easy peel and stick feature, the laminate can be added, replaced or upgraded at anytime.

Great pad, well made. I bought this because I make pads, and I love collecting. Thin rubber and wood base for a good tone. The thicker pad is a bit more quit. This pad has a good balance between being able to hear the player and not being so loud it annoys others in the house.
