I bought this practice pad because I didn't want to spend the money on the bigger version. I needed something to use in the dorm that wouldn't drive my roommate insane, and this works perfectly. The soft side is great for practicing when people are around, and the hard (black) side is really nice for when you're all alone and don't mind making more noise. I'm very happy with this purchase!
