Vic Firth Bill Bachman Tenor Sticks - Product Information

The Bill Bachman SBBTS is a multi-tenor stick crafted in hickory. The choice of hickory for this redesign provides an improved rim-shot sound while the increased shaft thickness enhances the durability of the stick. The overall weight has been reduced, making it easier to maneuver around the drums at high speeds. All of this is accomplished while still maintaining the very big and dark sound that this model has been known for.

This model features a bead design aimed at producing a premium sound while minimizing drumhead damage. The drop-down fulcrum notch gives the front fingers better access for quick finesse playing while allowing the back of the stick to taper up and match the contour of the hand.

  • Length = 15 13/16″
  • Diameter = .725″ at the butt, .676″ at the shaft

Bill Bachman is renowned within the marching world as a multi-tenor drumming guru. He has instructed many award-winning groups including the Bluecoats, Blue Knights and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps. He is the author of several instructional books and DVDs, as well as a contributing writer for Modern Drummer magazine. Additionally, Bill is the designer of the Vic Firth Heavy Hitter Pad Series.

Good stick

Comments:

Solid stick for the price. Not as heavy as their previous model but handle just as well. I've had the sticks for two weeks so I can't vouch for durability but the price is a lot better than it used was (around $17).

Great Sticks!

Comments:

I'm in the Clemson University Drumline, and we use these sticks every day for warmup, practice, and performances. They feel great in your hands and on a drum or pad and really hold up to the constant use.

Phat Stick

Comments:

Real tip heavy, great for players who like full and powerful sounds. Breaks easily though, but not a problem considering how cheap it is.

Phat sticks

Comments:

The stcks are tip heavy. The diameter actually increases as you get away from the butt. Very nice full sound with lots of lower overtones. I found them easy to switch to from the cartwheels. Nice rebound and a staccato sound.
