Vic Firth SD12 Swizzle G Drumsticks are an SD1 General with a hard, spun felt ball attached to the butt end. Ideal for fast changes on cymbals. The SD12 are turned from select rock maple for a light, fast-playing stick with great flex and rebound.

Great sticks for quick transitions

Comments:

I use the SD12s all the time in the symphony for pops shows and film scores. Despite the felt ball, they maintain a good enough balance to feel comfortable using them as a snare drum stick, and buzz rolls aren't compromised. Their best feature though is their weight, which allows them to get sound out of a variety of instruments. It's funny to me that I like these sticks, because I despise regular SD1s and would sooner play with an unlathed dowel. I suppose that means I think SD1s are too front weighted, and the felt ball on the SD12s help the balance. Rant aside, these sticks are useful.
